Our Dogs

Hi, Deadra,
I wrote this for you for your web-site.  I hope this helps you find homes for your awesome puppies.  I tried to write it in a user-friendly manner.
I'll send pictures this weekend.

Frequently Asked Questions from a truly honest Horsecreek Aussie owner.

Why should I buy an Australian Shepherd?

These dogs are very intuitive, loving and playful.  They are loyal to their families and are easily trained.  Their coats are absolutely lush and beautiful, but the shedding is minimal compared to some of the other breeds with full coats.  People will stop and ask you what kind of dog you own because they are so gorgeous.  The most important step in buying an Australian Shepherd (Aussie) is to pick a reputable breeder.

What is the breeder like at Horsecreek Aussies?

Deadra is the most patient, supportive, honest, kind breeder you will find.  She answered all of my questions, addressed all of my concerns and gave me the most beautiful dog.  My family and I could not be happier!

Why should I buy an Australian Shepherd from Horsecreek?

You will get the sweetest, most beautiful, sensitive, intelligent dog.  Your dog will be confident, friendly and cuddly.  Your dog will come to your home well-adjusted and content.  (My puppy even tells me when it is time to go outside to go potty!)  The only down side is having to leave your dog to go to work.

Why should I pay so much for a Horsecreek Aussie?

These dogs will live up to 14 years.  Pay the price and you will have an unconditional friend for years.  I did the math.  It is truly a sound investment!  If you buy an Aussie from Horsecreek, you will be absolutely thrilled with your dog.  I know I am!

What if I live a long way from Oklahoma ?

My puppy came to me by plane in Michigan .  I was so afraid that she would be traumatized by the flight.  I was wrong.  My puppy was clean and happy.  My puppy came out of the crate ready to love her new family.  We absolutely love her right back.  Thank you so much, Deadra!

Hi Deadra, hope all is well for you and your family.  Wanted to drop you a line and send you some updated pictures of Kash, he is still doing great and as you will see in the pictures, a fine young Aussie.  He is now 3 years young and getting smarter every day.  Lots of people brag on him and I actually have one friend that begs me for him every time he's around him, I can understand that, but I think my friend has lost his mind, Ha ha!!  Hope you like the pictures and as always, thanks, I've never owned an Aussie quite like Kash.

Ozzy is so happy and soooo beautiful!  I will send you an updated picture of him.  He loves to play and herd our black lab everywhere.  I know I sound like a proud parent -- but he is so wonderful.  I can't imagine life without him.  I was recently sick and he was so aware of it.  He wouldn't leave my side.  Thanks for being such a wonderful person and breeder!

Take care -- Fran

Hi Deadra and family,

Words cannot express the amount of joy that Connor has brought to our family since he arrived.  He brings us all: smiles, laughter, puppy kisses, puppy hugs.  He has helped to lift the enormous cloud of sadness of the loss of my Mother.  It was meant to be (he just came in the room with me, he has to be by my side  :)  ), that the two previous families, weren't able to take him. He was left for us to find him on your web site.

Connor just LOVES the pool.  We can't keep him out!  He will just take a swim "just because".  No one has to even throw a toy in the pool. It is so cute! Our last two Aussies didn't like the water at all.  So Connor's interest in the pool is a whole new experience for us.  (I wash lots of towels; we're always drying him off).

He has made friends with the donkey next door.  They touch noses through the chain link fence, as well as play "chase" up and down the fence line. Also, very cute.

Connor is an EXCELLENT catcher.  He loves to have you throw anything to him and he brings it right back to you, without even being taught as much. He is very social, and everyone always tells him how beautiful he is.  I started formal training this week with him.  He has such a will to please.

So far Connor has traveled with us to: Oregon, Washington, several providences of Canada, Montana, Idaho, Utah, and Nevada. He traveled quite well for a puppy.

Sending a picture of his recent hunting experience in our back yard.  I will send up updates as he goes through his training.

What do you think?    Isn't he BEAUTIFUL!

Wishing you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving!

Hey Deadra

Just a quick note to update you on our precious new addition.  We are having a blast with our little guy.  He is energetic, loving and so playful.  I’ll take him to his first vet visit the week.  Everyone that comes to visit us is at awe with him.  He loves the attention from everyone and is very friendly!!!  About an hour everyday he get this burst of energy that is unstoppable.  We get such a kick out of him.  I think I’ve lost 2 lbs since I’ve had him.  Can’t complain, I was looking forward to losing a few lbs and he may be my best diet plan.  Ha ha!

He is a very smart little guy, knows exactly what we want from him.  Housetraining is still in the works but definitely making progress.  He has really bonded with everyone at home wonderfully, with me, he is un-attachable.

Thanks for the wonderful breeding you do and for the professional way you dealt with everything.  I just have to tell you that those puppies are the most impressive puppies!  The whole litter is sooooo precious!  I’m sure they all will go to excellent homes!  I like to look at the puppies photos on your web-page and each puppy that you have listed is just outstanding!  Congratulations on your exceptional litters!  You were wonderful in updating me with pictures and responding to all my fickleness!

We are very ecstatic with Ta-Tonka Blu, (Tonka for short)!  He has adjusted wonderfully.  I will be sending pictures of him just as soon as I can; it’s hard to pin this little guy down.   Take care, be in touch soon.

P.S.  Kenneth fell in love with him right away.  He’s so sweet and loves everyone!

Thanks so much, Vannieca

Dear Deadra,
We just wanted to send you a note to tell you how incredibly happy we are with our pups, Cooper and Charley.  They're now 6 months old and they are wonderful!  Wish words could express how much joy they've brought us!
Thank you for being patient with us while we decided whether we were getting one or two pups and thank you for encouraging us to be patient so that you could fill our "order" with just the pups we described to you:)  They're perfect! (Maybe even better than perfect:)  They're beautiful, they're well behaved, and they're so social!  We take them out to an off-leash dog park and they love to play and run with all the dogs, big and small.  People are constantly stopping to compliment us, both on how beautiful they are and how well mannered.  And they're SO good with children!  We have a lot of kids in the neighborhood who stop by frequently, on their way to and from school, riding their bikes into the driveway, etc. and they get, and give, lots of loving.  These dogs are so sweet natured!  The only slight problem that we do have with them is that when Bob or I sit down on the floor to play and pet them, they both jump into our laps and there's just not room for both of them in one lap:)

We are so happy that we decided on two!  It was the best decision we could have made,... we haven't looked back once!  As you remember, we have a 12-year-old cocker spaniel at home and we were afraid that she might be a bit old to bring puppies into the house, but we were so wrong.  They've given her new life!  She runs around the yard now and even the neighbors have commented on how they've never seen Kenzie so active!  So that's been good!  Also, the pups play so much with each other that she doesn't have to be involved in all that puppy wrestling, gnawing on ears, chasing etc.  And while there is a strong bond between them, they are just as attached to us and spend most nights curled up next to Kenzie too.  It's been fun having one male and one female because they do indeed have different personalities.  Charley, our little girl, is full of energy and inquisitiveness, and is fearless,  while Cooper is much more laid back and follows his sister around most of the time.  It's just interesting!
Puppy training has gone well as they learn so fast.  Fun to have the "rock stars" of the class:)  Our trainer has been so complimentary of them, commenting that they are the best Aussies he's seen.  So calm and well behaved for 6 month old pups.

So, we just had to write to thank you for our fabulous little buddies.  It's crazy how things happen.  We found you simply by searching websites for Aussies and I don't think we could have found a better match for us anywhere!  Thank you for raising such awesome Aussies and providing individuals and families with great companions and so much happiness!

Fondly,
Bob and Linda Worsing

Hi Deadra,

Hope all is well with your and your family, I'm sure it is cause OSU is kicking tail this year, Ha Ha!!!  Just wanted to drop you a picture of Kash.  He is doing great.  He has matured so much and is one of the smartest Aussies we have ever owned.  We just recently moved into a new house and he has lots more running room now than he had before and he loves it.  Coming through the woods he runs like a reindeer, every time he leaps, I bet it's 20 foot before he hits the ground again....amazing and makes my chest bow out.....cause I'm like, that's my boy!!  Ha Ha!!

Hope you like the picture.

Dear Deadra,

I wanted to thank you very much for Bailey and Woodrow. They are a joy (most of the time, LOL) and a great addition to our family. We were very sad when we lost our Aussie Bingo in May and are glad we stumbled on your website. It is very informative; you were professional and knowledgeable re: your pups.

Garrett our 6 year old plays with them all the time and I of course get up with them very, very early every morning. They do sleep in a crate at night and adjusted very well to it. They can sit and sometimes come and stay (we are working on that). They have already started to “herd” our cats; of course they did not welcome the additions like we did.

Tom has really become attached to our Ranch Security, as he calls them (more like our ranch greeters).

Our Vet was very impressed with the 2 pups, great confirmation and just plain too cute for words.

Again, thank you very much for the pups.

PS. They love the Wyoming cool weather.

Nellie Bell is a sweet, fun addition to our happy family.  Great in the car, with people, and is already our families' shadow and best friend.  Her and our adult male, Pal, play and patrol our property constantly and are always ready to make us laugh or give us love.

Thank you for our baby Nellie.

Hi Deadra,

Hope you are doing well. Sadie is laying at my feet as I write this to you, she is such a great dog.   We were so happy to have found the Horse Creek Aussies website. We were searching for a quality breeder of Australian Shepherd dogs. Not only was it important to find a great family pet, but it was important to find a puppy from a breeder that was concerned about the quality of the breed and care about the dogs they sold. You can see from the website that Deadra puts a lot of heart and soul into her dogs. She is very informative about the puppies and personable to work with as well. We were concerned about shipping a dog, and put our faith in Deadra’s care and we could not be more pleased with the puppy we received. The flight on the plane did not have any ill effect on our puppy. She has a great temperament and is easy to love and care for.  It did not take long for our little “Sadie” to adapt to our family, she is friendly to all age ranges from grandparents (80’s) to grandchildren (2 yr olds) and plays with a sense of how active or gentle she can be with each one.  What can I say but that we are so happy with our puppy! Thanks to Deadra for all the time she took to answer our questions and the great customer care she gives.

Hi Deadra!
Hope everything is good with you and the rest of your family:)  We're doing great and
having so much fun with our new puppies.  They've adjusted really well to Kansas and the city life!  Tomorrow they'll be 10 weeks old, so thought it was time to send you some pictures:)  Had them in to meet their new vet last Wednesday and they were amazing.  He was actually quite impressed with their good, quiet behavior and thought they were beautiful, wonderful pups!
The neighborhood kids stop by to play daily so they're getting acquainted with lots of little people too. They've learned to come and sit,...most of the time:)  (At least when we've got their attention.)  They love to play with each other and leave Kenzie out of the rough stuff.  She has kind of taken a role of protecting them though against the big 14 week old Golden Retriever next door.  Every day they expand their boundaries by a few more steps.  They've taken to wandering into our other neighbor's yard to play with their two big dogs.
They've had 2 baths and survived:),...and Cooper now weighs 12.2 pounds and Charley 10.7 pounds.  Thought Cooper was going to be our "challenge," but he's actually the mellow one and Charley is the trouble maker.  She's the aggressive one in play time, seems to be more inquisitive, and definitely the more independent one during school time:)  Pretty sure she got some of her Uncle Andy's genes from somewhere:)  They are both very entertaining and fabulous!  We couldn't be happier!
Enjoy these pictures of your/our most delightful puppies!
Love, Linda

I wanted to drop you a quick little note and wish you and your family a very special holiday season…the same as your little puppy that I picked up from you last Monday brought to my family.  As you know, I picked up the little red merle female (butterball) from you early last week and had to keep it top secret for a week before presenting it to my mom on Christmas morning.  The joy that sweet little puppy brought during the week was heart breaking knowing that the stay with me was just temporary, but if you could have seen the tears of joy from my mom’s face when the puppy was presented was a sight to behold.  My mom was like a 5 yr old seeing Santa coming out of the chimney in person for the very first time.  Just to let you know, the puppy’s first night at my parent’s house she slept in their bed with them…..something that is unheard of at the LeBlanc residence.  There is no doubt that you raise very special puppies and it’s definitely touched our lives here Texas.

Again, happy holidays and thank you for breeding precious dogs as the one I purchased from you.

Warmly, Tommy

Hi Deadra,

Here she is at 4 months and what an amazing puppy. We graduate this Sunday and I must say she was the smartest in the group!!!  I have her trained to hit a bell to go out to the bathroom. She loves going to the barn to feed the horses. She has an excellent temperament, loves playing with the kids. I have had sooooo many compliments on her. She weighs 30 lbs and her vet is absolutely in love with her. Thanks again for everything she is so loved here in Canada.

Cheers,

Tracey

After looking at many different websites and talking to several different breeders, we couldn't be happier with Horse Creek Aussies.  We have loved working with Deadra and feel like she has really helped us to understand the breed and pick just the right puppies for our family.  Our puppies are everything we hoped they would be, it was obvious that the puppies were socialized and well taken care of, upon arrival they came bounding out of the crate!  Thank You Horse Creek Aussies YOU ROCK!

Hello from Indiana! The dogs are doing really well we just wish the long days of winter were over so we could spend more time outside. Athena is such a fine girl who wakes up every day wondering how she can please Tracie and I. Cruz is very handsome and makes friends very quickly. The two of them spend a lot of time playing together and we love getting involved with them all we can. Cruz finished his obedience classes a while back and he made tons of friends, some of them being less than half his size. It didn't matter to him how big they were as long as they wanted to play! LOL! What a sight to see!  Wow we really have gotten attached to them Deadra. Again Tracie and I so much enjoyed meeting you last summer. Stay warm and we will be in touch!

Hi Deadra,

Thought I'd send you an update on our Bluez (Blu-Silk pup). He's growing up a very stout boy - at almost 8 months and 62 lbs., I can't believe how fast they grow.  And does he ever have a BIG motor! He goes to work with Steve almost everyday, running through the woods, over logs, up and down hills and loves being a timber cruiser's sidekick.  On the other hand, he's happy to run around with me all day doing errands and getting treats at the bank or coffee drive-troughs. What a great companion.....so smart and handsome!  Here on  the farm, he's so excited with all the action at the barn with the horses and cats, not to mention social time at the stables. You can imagine what a BUSY energetic dog he is until he crashes at bedtime!

I see you have been very busy with lots of pups....hope all their new families realize what great Aussies they have chosen and love them like we love and enjoy our Bluezy!

 Take care,

Shirley

Jake is doing great!  We love him and he keeps us moving with bike rides and trips to the park.  He is only happy when he is doing something with us.  It doesn’t matter what it is, if he is with us it is a great day for both of us!

Jake lost his big brother Chance (yellow lab) late last year.  We were nervous how he was going to react because Chance was always by his side.  But we just gave him more attention than normal for a while and he has transitioned nicely.  He still perks up when he sees a lab in the neighborhood on our bike rides.  I am sure he is hoping his big brother is finally coming home.  When he realizes it’s just another neighborhood dog, he prances by on our bike ride like he is the fastest dog in town.  He really has adjusted well considering how close they always were to each other.

We love Jake and he is doing great!

Hello From NY - Annie having fun in the Blizzard  December 27, 2010

Hi Deadra -

Hope all is well.
I thought of you today when Annie was out playing in all of the snow.  We got about 2 feet and she is just loving every bit of it!  Annie is the center of EVERYONE's attention and she knows it. She is quiet the little piggy, and weighs a whopping 63 lbs.  We recently took her off the puppy food, and she is already getting plenty of exercise.  So hopefully she will slim her waist line down a bit!  Hope you enjoy the pics.

Hi Deadra,

Here are some photos of our Blu and Lucy pup "Wyatt" with his new best friend "Kitty." As you can see, they got their picture taken with Santa when we were at the pet store. I had numerous people come up to me and say that they heard there was an adorable little puppy in the store and had to come see him for themselves. Aussies aren't a very well known breed where I live but Wyatt was the perfect ambassador!
I really wanted to thank you again for providing us with such a wonderful little dog and for making the whole process incredibly simple. When I retrieved him off of the plane he was very happy to see me and stretch his legs. I was a little nervous about how my other Aussie, a 7 month old female would take to him but they were friends from the start. Now I rarely see one with out the other. I was also pleasantly surprised that there was no 'shy puppy' adjustment period. Wyatt is really everything I could ever ask for in one little dog. He is gorgeous, intelligent, and Mr. Personality to boot! Although I have only had him four days he already comes to his name and is following his friend Kitty's example in asking to go outside! I have to say I am rather pleased and impressed with this puppy. He is everything you said he was and so much more. We are looking forward to a Spring season filled with puppy classes, conformation handling classes & plenty of competition! Thank you Deadra for providing us with the total package - a Horse Creek Aussie!
Happy Holidays,
Sondra

Customer Comment:  We found Deadra and Horse Creek online through one of the puppy search sites. We liked the “look and feel” of her program and were captivated by the photos of her pups, especially one which she had caught who was very nicely marked and seemed to reek of attitude even for an Aussie. Several conversations later, I committed to driving from near Chicago to Oklahoma in order “to meet the parents” – a long ride but adoption is serious stuff. That her daughter had named him “Angus” fit his mug shot and, be assured, he has proven to have both a sweet disposition and is a formidable “gamer” loving rough play with adults or other dogs. He came to us in superb health per our vet (who has five Aussies of her own which she enters in competition), is well conformed, and has great potential to become a terrific member of the family.  He even passed the rigorous entrance exam for Early Puppy Obedience School – or perhaps that was the three adults who tend to him that were judged acceptable. At one time several years back, I thought having a fairly good size saltwater aquarium was fascinating (that episode did not end well), but even carrying the heavy AKC registered name “Horse Creek’s Angus MacKendry Dundee” our “Gus” is much more rewarding and we have Deadra and the Buffing family, plus Kool and Raven of course, to thank for launching this lovable unguided missile.  Walt

Deadra,
Here are some of our first pix.  Thank you so much for this wonderful puppy.  She is everything we ever hoped she could be and more!!  Not only is she absolutely gorgeous with fabulous markings, but more importantly, she is the sweetest puppy ever!  She is clearly bright beyond words, has a wonderful disposition and is very gregarious and friendly.  We are all madly in love with her and she has absolutely charmed everyone.  We are telling our friends about you and Horse Creek Aussies and you should be getting more business.  You have been a delight to deal with and we appreciate your kindness and consideration as we figured out how to have our puppy brought to us.
Your puppies are first rate and it's definitely been worth the extra effort to deal with someone as professional and competent as you.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas.  I know we will have one of our best ever!
Much love,

News from Mexico  November 29, 2010

Hola Deadra,

Have not "talked" for a while so I wanted to let you know how things are going.  Lucca and Kyrie are wonderful dogs!!!  We love them so much!

We have wonderful news:

We decided to have Lucca & Kyrie participate in a dog show.  We thought the experience would be good for the girls.

We enrolled both girls in 2 regional dog shows: one in Puebla (Nov. 20-21), & the other one here in our home town; Queretaro (Nov. 27-28). Both got 2nd place in Puebla.  Lucca got 1st place in Queretaro and Kyrie got another 2nd place!  We are so exited, thrilled, and of course happy!

The show in Puebla was their first show, and the shows were only one week apart.  The hardest part for them was to stay standing up, since they also have obedience training.

The girls had such a wonderful time you could see them really enjoying themselves.  Everyone at the show loved Lucca's eyes and in general said she was gorgeous.  The judges fell in love with Kyrie's temperament and playful character. The judge in Puebla said "I don't like Lucca's character but she is so beautiful, I will give her 2nd place"

Laura will be taking the girls to Mexico City to the "Federacion Canofila Mexicana" (Mexico's AKC equivalent) to Compete in the International Circuit CACIB from Dec. 9 - 12. I will catch up on the weekend.  We'll let you know how it goes.

Finally, we also want to let you know that after the girls competed in the show, they participated in an agility clinic.  Kyrie was definitely born for this!!!!!  She has so much fun and loves to do and learn the different obstacles.  Lucca is a bit slower and had trouble with a tunnel obstacle.  Even though she was afraid of the tunnel, Lucca has improved her temperament.  Little by little she is less and less afraid of strangers.  We are sure Kyrie has also helped out on this matter.

Hope you and your family and all the dogs are doing great.

Talks soon,

Fred & Lala

Hi Deadra...hope you and your family had a wonderful
Thanksgiving!
We are just so happy with the new addition to our family! She has adjusted
really well...starting from day 1. She loves playing outside, has mastered
the stairs on the deck and has a way of finding someone to quietly sneak her
up to nap on the couch. As seen in the attached photo! We also have a name
for her. Took us a few days but we decided to name her Kashmir. Her markings look similar to those in
snow leopards and snow leopards are found in Kashmir. She is also super soft like a cashmere sweater, so her name takes
on a double meaning.

She has grown so much just in one week. Definitely putting on some weight!
We will keep you updated with photos so you can see how she grows.

Take care!

Dear Deadra,
We are extremely excited to say that “Ozzy” is doing incredibly well!  When he arrived by plane he was happy and ready to get out of his crate.  He is out of “Blu” and “Silk” and is about 4 months old now and so very handsome.  His colors are so rich and vibrant!  He is healthy, energetic, loving and plays all day with our 2-1/2 year old black lab “Cody”.  They are inseparable!  “Ozzy” is a typical Australian Shepherd -- he herds “Cody” all around and “Cody” doesn’t seem to mind at all!

“Ozzy” is so smart...already knows sit and down.  Everyone we meet falls in love with him!  He has a wonderful temperament, disposition and is so very intelligent.  We love him so much and he brings so much joy to us!  Thank you for being so honest, patient, and helpful.  I would totally recommend you to anyone who is looking for an Aussie!
Sincerely,

Hi Deadra,
Our Bluez dog is gonna be a big boy for sure. He weighed 26 lbs today at the vet (not quite 4 months)....he gained 11 lbs in less than 3 weeks. He is so smart...already knows Sit, Shake, Lay Down & Speak, and working on Rollover. Steve and I remark all the time how lucky I was to find your website and actually get the kind of Aussie pup we had been looking for since last winter. I know you receive a lot of the same comments from your customers, but we love Bluez so much....just keep up the great work!

Deadra,

Let me start by saying how sorry we are for your loss of “OZ”.

It was a year ago that I called you and inquired about a litter of pups that you had and though I was skeptical about ordering a dog through the internet I have to say that it could not have been a better experience. It was very obvious from the moment that we picked “Karma” up at the airport that you had spent a lot of time socializing this pup. You can tell that you are not just “breeding “dogs for the sake of breeding. It is apparent that you have a concern with breeding to better the breed and produce quality dogs. I definitely never imagined that I would end up with the pup with a one in a million personality. She is a little sweat heart!!! Of course you pick a name for your new puppy long before you really have a true understanding of there personality but WOW she managed to live up to her name. I don’t think she has a mean bone in her body, and she just has a very gentle loving soul.  She bonded immediately with our Rottweiler and the two of them are inseparable. Its peace of mind knowing that not only are you getting a quality animal but that there’s quality people backing up the sale.  We can’t thank you enough for such a wonderful addition to our family. I can assure you that if we or anyone else we know is looking for an Aussie your name and number will be the first on the list.
Thanks Again    Don and Bon Chapman Lisbon, Connecticut

Hi Deadra-
'Nelly' has turned out to be the SWEETEST dog known to man (women)!  Loyal, gentle and wonderful!  We just spent a month in Ontario with her and she loved the water and accommodated herself to hordes of new people. You can't ask for more in a dog.

'Soda' is still a puppy and trying hard to find a place for himself. He is very energetic and sometimes anxious when things don't go the way he expects them to.  They are both off to the beauty parlor today as they are shaggy and in need of a good cut.

Hey Deadra!
My wife Tracie and I would like to thank you again after picking up our 2nd Australian pup from you last month. We have had Athena now for a little over a year and what a great experience she has been. I have to be honest; I did not realize just how much love and care you give your dogs until we visited you to pick up Cruz our second pup in July. It was a very pleasant visit with you from the very clean and neat kennels to the time you spent with my wife and I and the pup to make sure we were completely happy with him. If anyone asks me where to get a clean healthy pup you can bet that your name will be the first to come up!. Thanks again so much and we will stay in touch.

Deadra,
Thought you'd like to see how our adorable Bluez is doing here in Oregon on his 3rd day with his new family. He is settling in very well and is quite the little character!  Everyone says he's the most beautiful pup they have seen. Thanks for taking the time helping us pick the right pup.....all the photos and emails were greatly appreciated!

I just saw, as I go through admiring your beautiful dogs, that Oz had moved on to that starry ranch in the sky. The picture of him with the young man in the back of the truck as a pup is one of the all time best and I know you miss him terribly. Just wanted you to know there are those of us out here who have these dogs and truly appreciate yours. When you have one like Oz there is no such term as "just a dawg",  they are so much more. Thanks for sharing him with us over the net.
Thanks and my God Bless you and yours.

Deadra,

Thank you so much for our two newest members of the family.  Koda and Sara are doing great.  The boys are so excited to have puppies for the first time.  The puppies are laid back, yet eager to please.  They are super smart and well behaved.  We can’t thank you enough for your help and your commitment to raising top quality Aussies.  We will definitely recommend you to our friends and family and we will keep you updated as they grow and develop.

Thanks again,

Hi Deadra,

We wanted to let you know how very happy we are with Blu and Patches, they are the best puppies and buddies!!! We just LOVE them and are so lucky to have found you. You gave us so much information , you were so honest , we were so trusting with you and feel we known you for years.  When we first came to visit you welcomed us and showed us all the dogs and puppies, the second time we got our little babies and they took the 4 hour ride very well. They are so sweet. We are very impressed with you and your beautiful dogs and see the pride you have in them.
I can't say enough good things about you.

Thanks,

Hi Deadra, wanted to send you a couple pictures of Kash chillin, He is now 1 year, 7 months young and still our baby.   He's become a legend in our town, everybody knows and loves him.  His mischievous ways has earned him a reputation among all my friends, He is truly something.  I have friends with older Aussies and Lab's that hang out with him, they get along pretty good but you know there are times when they get jealous and tend to get grouchy with each other.  Anyway, just wanted to drop you a line and let you know he is doing great and we love him lots, thanks again to you for raising the quality of Aussies you raise.  We'll never buy one from anybody else as long as you still have them.

Dear Deadra,

Hello!  Hope you are all fine!  'Imi'  (Horse Creek's Limited Edition) is such a great big baby, she super smart, loves and demands attention, will sit all day and be so still as long as you are just touching her anywhere, she stays right next to me, she and my male Boogie are best buds and he loves her and protects her with every being of his life. She is soooo sweet, loving, very silly and hardly ever barks.  Just took her for her check up and microchip last Friday and she weighed 50 lbs. These puppy pictures are the day we got her off the plane.

She is soooo cute and a joy to have!

Sincerely

Hi Deadra!
I meant to tell you earlier how much we love Dex!  He moved right in and made himself at home.  Everyone is absolutely thrilled with him.  It was like Nicky knew right off that he was her brother!   Our vet is so impressed with Dex and raved about his temperament, structure and beauty. Once again, we are thrilled with a Horse Creek Aussie!  Thank you for letting him come live with us!  We love him!

Deadra,

Beau is doing great.  He is still very much a puppy (a large puppy).  He is spoiled and Beau and Cowboy are best buddies.  Beau is a hit at the paw spa, which is my doggy day care at least twice a month. He is the social coordinator for the girls.  He is becoming more protective of me as he is getting older.

Hello Deadra,

What a truly beautiful, loving and extremely intelligent dog!  She herds my other dogs, one of my cats, as well as my husband and me.  My husband calls her the "Social Director" since she tries to organize all of us and wants to be in control 24 hours per day.  I started training her in a Beginning Agility class 8 weeks ago and she loves it.  The trainer has 2 Aussies who regularly compete in agility events, so it is great to work with someone who understands this breed.

All the best to you,

Susan

Deadra,

I was thinking of you today and thought I would share some of the latest pictures that we have taken of who we believe to be the most gorgeous aussie on the planet. Of course we are a little bit bias.
She has done leaps and bounds since we last spoke. She is doing SOOO well working with the pasture cattle, flushing them out of the woods, sorting, and holding ground at open gateways , but what she does the best is work in the show barn when we are leading to and from the wash rack and getting them to come out of their pens. She is wonderful because she is seen and not heard. She never barks and gets too rough and that is exactly how we want her to be. She also attends every High School Baseball game of Dillon's ...   they have deemed her the team mascot even though we are already the Leopards. She is loved by so many others besides us that she has no idea just exactly how much she is loved.
I hope to get a few working pictures sometime soon. I am very much hands on with her right now so it makes it a little tough to get a good picture for you. Hope all is well with you and your family and I will talk to you soon.

Hi Deadra,
Hope you and your family have a Marry Christmas and Happy New Year, I have a coworker over here in Africa who is from Oklahoma and said yall
are having a White Christmas, bet that is nice and pretty. Kash is doing well, 1 year old and kinda like a kid in the terrible 2's, He is truly something, but well loved.  Don't have to worry about anyone coming in the yard, he is protective, I think the power company meter reader just guesses at our reading for the electric bill, HaHa!!!  Take care and be safe during the holidays

Deadra,

Just wanted to thank you sooo much for "Miss Tori" we LOVE HER  more than she will ever know. Thank you for your years of dedication to your aussies it is remarkable!! You can see it in her health, behavior, and confirmation. She is truly one of a kind from her color ...to her personality... and her cattle instincts. I could not of ask for a more perfect fit. She makes me hop out of bed and take on the day with more energy. I appreciate all the time and advice you gave me while I was waiting to pick the right pup. There is no other place to get an Aussie than from HorseCreek !!

Thanks again    Amie  ( and Tori )

I thought you might like to see how gorgeous Dexter and Sophie are. She actually outweighs him – by 6 pounds! I think he’s still got some growing to do. They’re doing great and are soooo smart. They chase each other around the backyard and have a great time. Dexter is really fast – he would probably have done great running cattle! – Ellen

Hi Deadra,

Blu was been a real blessing to the Rey family. Thank you so much for your patience and dedication to these beautiful dogs. We are enjoying our baby boy so much. He doesn't love the weather in Miami but he is getting used to it little by little.  He is full of energy and loves to play with his brothers Brownie and Duke. His herding instincts are coming out and he plays hiding go seek like a kid. He's amazing and so smart. Thank you for this wonderful dog!!!

Thanks again,

Hi Deadra,

Dexter is a bundle of energy and loves playing with his toys and going for walks and, of course, wagging his whole rear end. Sophie is much more laid back and loves everybody but isn’t as quick to wag her tail. Only a few people get that response. Dexter is a total watchdog – sometimes we wonder if he ever really sleeps!   Life around our house can get pretty wild!  -- Ellen

Deadra,

Bogger is amazing and has been such a welcome addition to the family!

He is a Kool and Bailey pup- which explains his amazingly chill disposition I think. You should see him with the little kids- it's unbelievable how much he enjoys playing with them. But the cool part is that when someone new or questionable comes to the fence gate  he barks and growls like he's the meanest dog in town (which I love).

We use a holistic vet and make our own dog food as well as use an all natural flea and tick repellent (that works!) I would be happy to post something on my blog that you might like to link to for other dog lovers looking for healthy alternatives!

PS- I tell everyone about you and would never let anyone that is interested in an Aussie go anywhere else ;-)

Hi Deadra

My baby girl is all grown up! They go every where together and at the end of August I get to take them on the ranch in Colorado that will be their home some day. She has a great temperament and just can't get enough loving. Thank you for making it possible for us to have her in our lives!

Hey, Deadra!
Solo is doing FANTASTIC!  He is the pinnacle of excellence as some have stated.  He has a great, friendly personality and is always there at your side from the moment you wake up to the time you go to bed.  He loves to chase and be chased when he's at the dog park, and we recently moved to a new house about a month and 1/2 ago, so he has a huge backyard and two buddy neighbor dogs to play with as well.  About four friends of mine and I went our lake house on the 4th, and Solo came along with us on the car ride and trip.  He was perfect, and everyone was raving about how intelligent, calm, and beautiful he is (one of the friends has two aussies himself, his dogs are actually the reason I looked into aussies.. and even he said that Solo is a great boy, beautiful, and very healthy looking).  I cannot thank you enough for providing such a wonderful breed, and letting me invite a integral member into the family.  He's like the brother I never had!

Thank you, Deadra, for being so professional, patient and helpful.  My puppy is outstanding.  Her health and condition are excellent.  The pride you take in “Horse Creek Aussies” is deeply appreciated.  You are honest and want to do the very best by your customers. I’m glad and very lucky to have found such a reputable breeder.  I highly recommend you to anyone looking for a quality Australian Shepherd.  If I decide to buy another Aussie, it will definitely be from you.

Thank you again,

Deadra,
We made it back to Houston without incident.  We had had no name picked out for her and had not thought of any as we wanted John to name her himself.  We hadn't left your house for ten minutes and John said "I'm going to name her Mia.  It just seems to fit her."  So Mia it is...actually I looked the meaning of her name up when we got home.  In Hebrew it means "child" and in Latin and Scandinavian it means "my" or "mine."  So it fits her perfectly.  She was a real lamb all the way home.  You were right, she let us know when she had to go to the bathroom, a little restless, etc.  We stopped right away every time and she had no accidents on the way home.  She is VERY smart.  The sweetest natured little lamb.  She has fit right in with the other dogs and holds her own.  One tried to snoozle in on her bone and she jumped up and barked right in her face.  We all got such a kick out of it, no one would have ever thought she had it in her.  Needless to say that hasn't happened since.  We all love her so much I just couldn't imagine our lives without her now.  She has her own little collar with her name tag and phone number on it already.  She sleeps with John every night and just loves being outside with us when we sit on our porch every evening.   Thank you so much for everything.
Take care, Stephanie

Hi Deadra

We wanted to thank you so much for bringing Lucy into our lives. She is a beautiful puppy with a great personality. My son is so happy, he takes great care of her. We had such agreat experience with you as a breeder that we are going to get a second puppy from you and highly recommend you as a breeder to anyone out there searching for an Aussie because they need to look no further. Your web site also is so easy to navigate through and is very informative. We cannot thank you enough for answering all our questions and your expertise. We will be in touch, your the best!

Hi, Deadra,

I just had to touch base with you to let you know that our Riley is doing so well!  I just love her to pieces!  My husband and kids do too.  She is so friendly, outgoing, smart, funny and loving.  I cannot tell you how happy we are with our awesome Aussie!  Would you like more updated pictures of her?  She is getting even more beautiful by the day.  Her coat is so lush and full.

I keep looking at your website to see what new puppies you have.  You have some beautiful puppies right now, as always. :)

Please feel free to have anyone contact me for questions about your pups.  I am so happy and excited about my new addition that I am more than willing to be a reference for you. Feel free to give them my e-mail address, since this is the best way to reach me.  If they would like to talk with me, have them contact me by e-mail and I'll get back to them.

Sincerely,

Hi Deadra,

It's been about seven weeks or so since we first picked up Jax and Izzy, (probably the best aussies in the world). We want to thank you so much for all your help and guidance in picking out our puppies and making sure there plane ride to Florida was a safe and happy trip. They have been a wonderful addition to our family. Horse Creek Aussies is as good as it gets when comes to serving up some special and beautiful puppies. They potty trained very quickly and were quick to learn all the easy commands like sit, stay, down, still working on the come command except at feedin time! Two of them is quite the chore but wouldn't trade them for anything!! They entertain them selves and us! We have been bragg'in on you to all who asks were we got them.  Took them to Virginia for a couple of weeks, they loved it in the mountains. Again thanks for being as good as you are and hope you enjoy the pics.

Your friends,
Bob, Michele, Izzy, & Jax

Hi Deadra,
I wanted to write you to give you an update and send some pictures of Bailey and Kool's pup, Kash (BK BTM).  Debbie and I are enjoying Kash so much and he has become a special part of our family.  I must say he is sooo smart and has lots of character.   Kash has already learned to fetch, sit, shake hands, lay down and rollover, so he has been very easy to train.  At 12 weeks old he weighed 22 lbs, he is a growing boy and fast.  We are so thankful that we chose to purchase a pup from you at "Horse Creek Aussies".  We hope to purchase a female
sometimes in the future (after Kash has matured a bit more), but this time we won't have to search the internet for days trying to make up our minds, we will just contact you, Ha Ha.
Thank you for the time and dedication you put into assuring the safe arrival of Kash to us.  We will stay in touch with you and send pictures as he continues to grow.  Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Hi Deadra!

Trudy continues to grow like a weed!  I can't believe how big she has gotten!  She's probably at least 3 times the size she was when we picked her up a month ago.  I can hardly pick her up anymore!  She is doing great, though!  She knows how to sit and stay and she will wait for her treats.  We're still working on come - sometimes she's great and then other times she's way too distracted to pay attention (like when she's antagonizing the poor cat!).  She has the sweetest disposition I've seen - she gets so excited to see me when I come home from work or riding my horse.  She runs up to me and leaps into my lap, licks me all over my face until I'm nice and clean, and gives me several what I call "roos" (roo-roo-roo!).  I love it!

She's adjusting so well and is so easy going and laid back.  You guys did an excellent job of socializing her to get ready for her new home!

Trudy is such a blessing and has filled our home with so much joy, happiness, and constant entertainment!  Thank you so much for helping us to select such a great puppy and for doing such a great job of breeding and raising her.  I'll keep you updated as she continues to grow!  Hope you guys are doing well!

Deadra,

Here is a picture of Riley.  She is such an amazing dog!  Riley is very loving, playful and intelligent.  She is very outgoing too.  Riley has made friends with my family, the neighbors, the vet office and even a news crew.  Everyone comments on how beautiful she is.  People will stop their cars to say hello to our Aussie

Thank you so much for the perfect Aussie!  We would love to have more, but we just do not have the room.  We will highly recommend your Aussies to anyone interested in having a quality pet.

We appreciate your interest in watching Riley grow.  We know you are a special breeder because you care so much about your puppies and your dogs.  Your hand-raising definitely shows in our little Aussie, Riley!  We look forward to sharing how Riley grows.
Sincerely,

Hey Deadra ,
Wanted
to let you know that Athena is doing great and continues to be a wonderful girl. I can not believe how well she rides in the truck she just rides around like she was born to take trips. The other day she was out in the field and about wore me out running after leaves that were blowing about . She has a lot of energy!. We took her to our vet when she came to us and the vet could not believe how well Athenas shots and paperwork were kept in order she was very impressed. It made me even more proud to know that the vet knew I had bought Athena from someone who really cares about their puppies. I don't think anyone has not just loved Athena when they meet her. Thank you for raising such great puppies they are awesome!!!

Thank You !

Hello Deadra,
Jenna is doing great!  She has become great friends with our other dogs and enjoys playing fetch. She is learning so quickly and amazes me everyday. Her left eye is almost completely brown now and continues to grow more beautiful all the time. At bedtime the other night she brought me to tears. I picked her up to give her, her bedtime hugs and kisses and she rubbed her face on mine and then rested her head on my shoulder and snuggled in my arms as if to say I love you back! Moments like this are one of the many reasons why aussies are the best!  Thank you for giving my family such a wonderful pup. She is getting spoiled by all and continues to captivate us. I will be sending hard copy photos soon !
Thank you Wendy Jessee and family

Hi Deadra,

We can not say enough wonderful things about our experiences with you.
We felt immediately comfortable with Horse Creek Aussies (after
interviewing several breeders) and  have been so pleased with all  of
your assistance and follow up-thank you!  Bogger was a "sweet 16 gift"
for our son Codie and they are the best of friends!  Although we
expected a nice disposition from this breed, Bogger is astounding. He
loves to play in the yard with our younger boys but is also just as
happy to chill out and snuggle.  Thank you again for everything and
this amazing new addition to our family- We will be staying in touch.

Deadra,
Max made it to Texas and is having a great time.  He and Penny have truly bonded.  She goes from running him all over the backyard to mothering him.  We have a hawk that spends his time flying around the creek that goes through the back of our property.  Yesterday, both dogs were out in the yard playing, and Penny stopped dead in her tracks and looked straight up.  She had caught sight of the hawk flying around, and she immediately took off and stretched herself on top of Max and stayed there until she was sure the hawk was gone!  What a smart, sweet girl – she would have made a great mom!  If she could speak, she would say thanks for letting Max come live with her.  They are going to be fast friends (as well as half-siblings).

Hey Deadra,

Trudy continues to grow and is so much fun!  I can't believe how big she is getting.  I want to hold her and enjoy these short few months where I can actually pick her up and snuggle, but she wants nothing to do with that.  She wants down so that she can play with Major and terrorize the cat.  She's super smart - she already knows how to sit and will wait for a treat as opposed to mauling you.  The house training is going well - as long as we keep an eye on her, she'll let us know when she needs to go out - she went 5 days without an accident.  But, she had 3 yesterday while my dad was supposedly "watching" her.  She's adjusting very well to her crate - she's slept through the night the past 3 nights.  Woohoo!

She is such a great puppy - very affectionate and playful.  We love having her!  Thank you again so much for giving us this opportunity.  I took some pics a couple of nights ago, so as soon as I download those I will send them to you.  Hope you guys are doing ok!

Hello from Alaska!!!

Hey Deadra, Just wanted to thank you and Jeff again for being so good to me and my dad while we were on our adventure!! You guys are awesome. Maverick has mastered the stairs after 3 days of being in her new home. She gets along great with all the other dogs and cats. When ever Mav and Dakota are playing and they get a little to rough Maddie takes it upon herself to sit on whoever is being rougher haha. She is the sweetest little pup ever! The whole family is very very happy we got her. I take her on walks down to the the harbor and we walk along the docks, she loves it and is very curious about the ocean... I tell her all the time its a little to cold for swimming. We cant get her to come inside, she loves being outside and playing in the snow with her buddies! Well hope you enjoy the pictures. Tell everyone we say hello!! We are getting a package ready to send down to ya here in a few days. Take care and THANK YOU sooo much for our two WONDERFUL LOVING and SMART BEAUTIFUL GIRLS!!!!!

Deadra,
We thought you might like to see some of the latest pictures of our Penny now that she is a year old.  I have to say, she is quite stunning with her intense colors and gorgeous coat.  People do stop us to tell us what a beautiful dog she is, and she is always very happy to greet new friends, whether they are people or other dogs.  Last week, we took her to a restaurant that allows dogs on their patio, and she held her own with 3 Burmese mountain dogs!  (They were all males and, I think, quite smitten with her.)  We have been singing the praises of Horse Creek Aussies to everyone who asks where we got her, and we can’t thank you enough for sending her to us.  We have had many dogs but never one as smart and much fun as Penny.  She brings us so much joy and keeps us busy!  We can’t imagine what we did before we had her!

So....OMG she's beautiful and so well taken care of.  I'm very happy I found her through you.

Her little personality is coming out.  This morning she was running around the house with a stuff animal...to cute...the size of her!
Then I gave her a wash cloth  and shook it like crazy. Her quietness is disappearing!  She has a 20 month aussie  brother/babysitter.
And my daughter is able to take to work.
We are very Happy with her and I can tell already she is going to be natural smart as she should be, being an Aussie.
As she grows I will send pictures.
Once again Thank You for pulling it together and gettin her out to us the same day.
Her flight was 45 minutes early, which was nice.
Thank You

Hello Deadra,
I wanted to thank you again for Jenna. She is a wonderful pup and has all ready learned to sit , lay down and getting better at fetching her duck. She has quickly stolen all our hearts and has become great friends with our two other Aussies Rebel and Dixie . My husband has nicknamed her Purdy cause she is sooo pretty. When I look at her face she is looking more like her father Blu .
We often find ourselves just staring at her . Thank you  and I have and will continue to recommend Horsecreek Aussies to anyone wanting an intelligent, loving and beautiful puppy. I will send pictures soon!

Deadra,
I am sending some pictures of Nick that I took yesterday. He is exactly what we were hoping for, just beautiful.  His personality is great. He's very loving, not a big barker and easy to train. As you can see, he is growing like a weed. I really don't think I could have gotten a better addition anywhere. Thank you so much for helping with my choice and making the whole thing so easy.

Deadra,

Jake is doing awesome!  He is smart, fun, and and a great pet.  He jogs along side my bike everyday and his favorite game is playing hide and seek with our son.  He loves his big bro and takes every opportunity to sit on things, steps, pets, anything!  We couldn't have asked for anything more in a family pet.  Hope all is well with you and your pups.

Deadra,
I cannot tell you how much our whole family (even my non- animal liking husband) is LOVING Abu!!!!   When I lost my Aussy of 16 1/2 years I did not think I could ever find one even close.  I searched EVERYWHERE and every web site, breeder etc.  Abu is not my beloved Ruffian, but as close as they get!  She is SOOO smart, already fully create trained and knows how to sit at 9 weeks!  She loves my 3 yr old son and has a home for a LONG happy life!
Thank you,

Hey Deadra,

Our puppies are sooooo sweet.    They've already been in intensive training and are getting ready to meet a new addition to our family some time in Jan/Feb.  I'm about 7 1/2 mo.'s pregnant.  Funny thing is, my husband and I were trying for years and I finally just gave up.  We got two pups and 2 months later got pregnant.  It's all good.  We absolutely love our dogs.  They are our miracles along with the new baby coming soon.  I am so grateful for them and all the unconditional love they give.
Thanks for breeding such wonderful dogs!!!!

Hi Deadra,
I have been thinking of you. Occasionally I will get on your web site and look at your puppies.  I would love one that looks like River's dad.  But I don't need another animal to take care of. Every time I look at your web site I fall in love with a puppy. Well River is a real sweet heart.  She is doing really well after her near death experience with Chinese dog food.  She has turned out to be a beautiful dog.   She survived hurricane Ike.
She is extremely spoiled and pampered. She follows me around and play fights with William. My husband plays ball every night in the backyard with her. If he isn't fast enough she gets the ball and brings it to the back door. Today we went down to the agility course and played there.  We didn't start agility  this fall with school and then the hurricane. So we are looking at starting it back up.  She loves all the equipment and is really fast.
My daughter says I spoil the dog more then the kids.  Often told I love the dog more then my kids. She gets a lot of stuffed animals from Kohls.
Will send a picture soon.

Penny, our little Kool/Jazz girl, is continuing to grow and amaze us with just how smart she is.  According to her veterinarian, she is a very smart and extremely healthy dog.  She caught and retrieved the first Frisbee thrown her way and would play until exhausted if we would let her.  And we have never had a sweeter dog.  She always seems to be tuned into our feelings and knows just how to make us smile or laugh out loud by “talking” to us in that Aussie-speak.  (She obviously knows exactly what she is saying!)  Penny loves to visit our grandsons, Harrison & Porter, and of course, tries to herd them at every opportunity.  (Here is a picture of her with them.)  You have amazing dogs, Deadra; I wish we had room for a whole herd of them!

Dear Deadra,

We just wanted to drop you a note to say how great Jake Is doing.  He has already learned how to sit, lay down and give you his paw.  He has also mastered the doggie door and can go out back by himself.  He likes the pool and has a ton of energy.  He's growing fast and looking taller every day.  We love Jake and wanted to thank you again.

Hi, Deadra:

Just had to drop you a line after going on your website.  Your dogs are magnificent!!!  I enjoyed the visit.  I have a blue-merle aussie, named "Cayenne" and I can say that she is just an amazing, smart, beautiful, loving dog.  I just adore her.  Keep up the good work.  I read some of your families' testimonials & they certainly have great things to say about your pups.

I just wanted to say thank you very much for selling us this puppy.  She's the sweetest puppy and just loves all the attention she's getting. Everything went just fine as far as picking her up at the airport and she was just like you described her as being. We've only had her a few days so far, but I think she's learning a little bit on being housebroken already. She seems to know that each time she goes out what she has to do first. At around 9:00 at night she will fall asleep on the floor right by us on the couch. Last night she slept the whole night and just seems to be very smart about different things. Thank you again, you made her trip here very easy. Here's a picture of her the 1st night home with us.
Thanks,
Debby

Hey Deadra:

Sophie is a Gorgeous dog.  People make comments about both the Aussies, but her coloring and eyes stop people in their tracks. She is a funny dog...Loving, smart, a bit silly and a tad stubborn...typical of female dogs.
My family adores her. Aussies are fabulous dogs for the right people.  They take commitment, but yield loads of rewards.

Hope all is well with you.

Hey, Deadra, things are great.  We love Bubba like a child.   He is so honery....loves to chase deer and play frisbee, ride in the mule, bubble baths, and always happiest when playing with his buddies.

Thanks for bringing him to us!

Deadra!

Just wanted to drop you a note and tell you how much we love Nicky...aka Prada!  She is a very happy girl and very energetic!  Since there is not much to herd in Plano... she is keeping herself busy by herding our other dog and our cat!  She also loves to play fetch.  Nick loves hanging out with the kids in the back when they are swimming... she has even taken a dip or two herself!  But as I am typing this to you, she is being her loving self, sleeping, wrapped around my feet!

Thank you so much for everything!  We absolutely love and adore our sweet, loving, happy and beautiful girl!  We would recommend you to anyone looking for an outstanding Aussie!

Hey Deadra,
Thank you so much for such a wonderful dog! He's a great fit for our family,
our other dogs and cats love him.  It's so great to meet a breeder who has such high standards. Ozzie been here almost 3 weeks and he's potty trained, knows the word NO! (LOL) and sits on command. He's very social and loves everyone in the family. We have a baby pool set-up in the back yard which he loves. His favorite thing to do is
stick his head under water and blow bubbles as he walking in the pool.  Anyone out there thinking of buying a puppy or dog needs to talk to you Deadra. My Vet has 4 Aussies and thinks he's really beautiful and has a great personality due to your dogs and the way you socialize them.   Thanks again for everything. When were ready for another puppy we will definitely buy from you.
All our love,
Steve, Debbie, Michael and Krissy Alegria

Dear Deadra,
The girls are 3 months old today, and they are healthy and thriving.  They have been socialized with lots of people and other dogs and are friendly with everyone.  They are inseparable - whether they are playing, fighting, or sleeping.  It's a challenge to keep up with them.  There's never a dull moment.  Blaze has lit up my life, and Bandit has stolen my heart.  You did a wonderful job, and we're lucky to have them.
Thank you,
Jovanna

Deadra,
I could not have asked for a better bred dog.  We got exactly what we were looking for, an agility prospect.  This girl is very smart and willing to learn and fast to boot.

Thanks to a wonderful breeder who has done her homework!  Keep up the good work.

Hello Deadra,
Our puppy, Landon is doing fantastic although he is really spoiled. He loves his new home and has found a buddy in our other dog, a border collie. Although I was a little leery buying a puppy online without the benefit of actually seeing it, other than pictures, I can honestly say that he has exceeded all of our expectations. He was even cuter than his online pictures.  Landon is a quick learner also and he was potty trained in about three weeks. We would recommend you to anyone looking for a puppy!

Thanks for checking in!

Hello!
My name is Rachel Hogue. My boyfriend Jon Jones bought Captain Solo several months ago and I wanted to send you some pictures of him. What a cool dog! He's growing into a very handsome boy. He's full of energy and definitely mischievous, but sweet as can be. He can speak, sit, shake, and lay down, and he also knows to sit and wait patiently at the door before going outside. He also walks very well on a leash.
Solo comes to my house almost daily so he can run and play in my backyard with my greyhounds. He quickly figured out exactly how they like to play! He can't outrun them, but he can corner much faster than they can and he uses it to his advantage. He'll woof at them in the yard, play bow, and turn and run to hide under the bush. The greyhounds will chase after him, and when they get bored and walk away, Solo will run out of the bush, woof at them again, run around the yard and back to the bush. They all have such a great time playing together! Just thought I'd give you an update. :)
Take care, and enjoy the pictures!
Rachel

Hey Deadra,
The puppies are awesome.  They slept most of the way home and played at every pit stop.  My parents, sister etc., the whole family is in love with them.  We've taken lots of pictures so I will be sending you some soon.  I wanted to get a variety for you.  Anyway, they're doing fine.  Leo, the boy, is the instigator but Lily is the boss, sort of.  They crack me up.  both are very friendly to all the people they've met.  They have wonderful dispositions and mind me very well.  Lily catches on to the whole potty training thing a little quicker than Leo. I guess all females develop faster than males.  Anyway, we are soooo happy with them. Thank you again for all your help.
By the way, their first vet visit was great!!!  We go back late next week for more shots.
I'll try to send you pictures tomorrow.
Thanks again, Amy

Deadra,
Penny is such a joy!  She is the perfect dog, and everyone wants to know where we got such an adorable puppy.  We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed working with you . . . and how much I appreciate that you always had time to answer my many questions.  We haven't had a puppy in 20 years, and we had forgotten so much -- like, how fast puppies grow!
She loves to be outside with us, and she is already retrieving a tennis ball.  Penny also went on her first camping trip and proved to be a real trooper.  She went to Austin and met our son Michael and then chose the table in our camper as her napping spot.

May the Lord bless you and keep you -- and all your pups!  And by the way, Hook 'em Horns!

Dear Deadra & Jeff
We love our girl!  She has made herself right at home.  Last night, Rick just couldn't quite bring himself to put her in the crate all night, so he put her up on the bed, and she went right down to the end of the bed, curled up and went to sleep.  Twice during the night, she woke Rick up by panting in his ear.  And after he took her out, she came right back and went to sleep again.  Not a peep all night!  What a good girl!  I've attached a picture of her with her chew toy and blanket.  She was so exhausted that she just fell asleep right on the spot.  (Yesterday was a very big day for her.)
Thank you so much for choosing us to raise Penny.  We will continue to send you pictures.  It was great meeting you both, and we will not hesitate to recommend you to everyone who wants to know where we got this adorable puppy.

Hello Lady!!!

Just wanted to drop a note and say "hello" and to make sure I tell you that I LOVE my dogs!!! AND so does everyone at the dog park!!!  If you want to check it out, go to http://www.ossiningdogpark.com

The vet visit went well. They totally got A+'s. She was so impressed with Mav. He's so mellow, he just sat there and let her check his teeth, ears, stomach, everything and let her give him shots and the worming medication. Maia, on the other hand, was a little more fidgety, but she sat through it pretty well too. There was nothing wrong with them...Two perfectly healthy pups...No worms, no nothing...

Deadra, they are soooo smart. They sit on command and Mav's already learned to shake hands (give me his paw)....Unbelievable... They are so easy to work with...

Did I tell you I LOVE my dogs!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
I'll be in touch. Until then, stay well!

Here's our Cowboy all grown up.  He is an absolute joy, such a loving boy.  He loves to please, and has been a wonderful companion to my husband who had open heart surgery in November.  Cowboy seemed to know that something was wrong, and wanted to be close to Jeff.  He is beautiful inside and out.  Thank you so much for such a wonderful addition to our family.

Friday, January 4, 2008

Hi Deadra,

I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know what a wonderful dog Stryker is. Tori (Victoria) is doing so well taking care of him and he is so attentive to her every move...it is so cute. He whines a bit when she walks out of the room. I get the opportunity from time to time to "puppy sit" and what a thrill that is for me. As soon as I'm through with school and get settled in my new job, you can be assured that I'm making another trip to the Horse Creek Ranch to pick up an addition to my family. What a wonderful job you have done with your breeding tactics. It was such a pleasure meeting you and your husband. I look forward in seeing you again...very soon!

I did look at your Annie.  I showed her to my husband and the kids too.  She's a red-headed beauty!  If she's anything like Shiloh, I wouldn't be able to part with her.  Shy-shy has one of the neatest Aussie personalities I've ever had on the place and I just adore her.  If she's any indication of what you get out of your stud dog "Kool,"  I'd have trouble parting with any of his babies.  She's a talker!  She does that growl talk that only Aussies can do and I love it!  It just cracks me up.  She's smaller than my other dogs, but she's bodied out and has a beautiful coat.  Her conformation is very square for her size, and she has a very authoritative attitude.  When she barks or growls at something, she sounds bigger than any dog on the place.  She may be small, but she is mighty!!!  She's my total cowgirl!  My Bud is the monster dog on the place (Silk's daddy) and he's huge, but when he and Shiloh are next to each other, she doesn't look small.  I'll have to photograph them side by side so you can see how good they look.  All I can say is you have awesome pups!!!

Hey Deadra,

Just wanted to let you know that in the week that I’ve had Maia and Maverick, the incredible joy and happiness they’ve brought me. The way they bring the laughter out in me while playing and romping with my other aussie, Marley, the way they’ve grown attached to us, the way we’ve grown attached to them, the way they express their individual spirits, their energy, their unconditional love…just the way they look at me after they wake up from a nap…the way they waddle as they’re running and playing outside in the piles of snow…

How to describe a Horsecreek Aussie pup? Their physical beauty is clearly apparent. With simply checking out your web site, it’s instantly visible. but now that I have them with me and can hold and touch them, they're physical attributes are overwhelming. They are exquisite in their coloring, the luxuriousness of their coats, their markings, the rich intelligence in their eyes, the strength, pride, dignity and grace they possess as demonstrated in the statuesque manner in which they stand or hold/tilt their heads when spoken to, and, of course, how quick witted they are.  Made me realize that your web site was just the appetizer and I’m privileged to personally witness the intense beauty your dogs possess. They've amazed me every day I’ve had them. They have strong herding instincts, have already learned their names and come right away when I call them. They clearly have their own little personalities. Maverick, in all his beauty and glory is so laid back, anything goes - unless his little sister or Marley start to really push his buttons, then he shows me that he can definitely hold his own. He has also already learned to sit for treats and is such a ham, he actually poses for photos!! He loves it when I pick him up and I love it when he gently snuggles with me…cold little nose in the crook of my neck while giving me kisses.  Maia doesn’t realize her size and loves to stir up trouble with the cat and the big dogs. While a tiny little thing, she’s so independent and determined, with a strong bark and true sense of self. She’s as sharp as a whistle and learns really quickly. I was at my brother’s over the holidays and he has these bushes that border a portion the property. Little Maia very easily zig-zagged right to left around them, which gives a clear indication that she’ll do extremely well in agility. She’s already got that part down.

In short, I’ve been looking at your dogs for about 2-3 years and now that I have these two, everything I thought about them has been solidified. What amazing creatures they are and how fortunate am I to have them in my life. It all makes me realize that if anyone is looking for true beauty in this world, they need only to look at your dogs. They truly are one of this earth’s gorgeous and marvelous creatures. Lovely, wonderful animals. I know I have true companions and loyal friends for life - - not just with the dogs, but you too! - - And I have you to thank for that.

I’m astounded and am sure I'll continue to be. You will never know the extent of my gratitude. Thank you for bringing them in to my life and I wish you and yours a peaceful and joyous holiday season!

Hi Deadra,
Just wanted to let you know that Logan, a blue merle from Kool and Anna is doing great. A very smart dog
who is loyal, smart and always looking to play frisbee.  He is turning out awesome.  The beach is his
favorite place to run. I have enjoyed him so much that I'm interested in another. A girl this time, so let me
know of future breedings.  Thanks again for a top notch dog, Logan turns heads everywhere we go.

Hi Deadra,
I hope you are doing well.  I wanted to share with you a photo of “Rocco”. He’s getting bigger.
This little guy is the best dog I’ve ever had.   Everyone that meets him can’t stop smiling… he is so friendly and well behaved – all my friends offer to hang out with him.   He loves the attention from everyone and gets along with other dogs.  He loves playing catch at the beach.
He is a great companion living in the city.  Thanks for the wonderful breeding you provide.

Deadra,
Just wanted to let you know Maya is doing great!  The little girl has a lot of spunk but definitely has a mellow side to her.  Akira (our black tri) and Maya play a lot and sleep together by choice.  She is growing very fast and her coloring has changed quite a bit.  She is a wonderful pup.
Thanks, JT

Hi Deadra,

Just a quick note to update you on our precious new addition. We are having a blast with our little guy.  He is energetic , loving and strong.  Took him to his first vet visit last week and as we suspected, he is very healthy. Everyone we encounter is an awe with him. He loves the attention from everyone and is very friendly.

My girlfriend brought her 2 year-old mini female Aussie to our house and Bleu just loved playing with her; He actually thought he was the bigger of the two.  It was hysterical watching him interact with her dog.

I haven't had the opportunity to take him to the park yet but will be doing that soon. We play fetch at home and about an hour everyday he gets this burst of energy that is unstoppable.  We get such a kick out of him. I think I've lost 2 lbs since I've had him. Cant complain, I was looking forward to losing a few lbs and he may be my best diet plan.  Ha ha.

He is a very smart little guy.  Knows exactly what you want from him.  Housetraining is still in the works but definitely making progress. He has really bonded with everyone at home wonderfully.  With me ,he is un-attachable.

Thanks for the wonderful breeding you do and for the professional way you dealt with everything.  You were wonderful in updating us with pictures and responding to all our fickleness.
We are very ecstatic with Bleu and I believe its reciprocal.  He has adjusted wonderfully.
I will be sending you pictures of him just as soon as I can; Its hard to pin this little guy down.

Take care,

Lissett, Donnie and Bryan

Deadra,
Our new addition, Tusker, is a feisty little one. He and our 8 month old puppy Jambo are playing like best friends and I do not know who gets the best of who. Tuskers little teeth are sharp and Jambo knows it. Our older dog Blue is very gentle and good with Tusker.
Tusker arrived at about 5 pounds and is already up to almost 8 pounds. He goes for his first vet visit tomorrow.
Margaret and I can not thank you enough...Tusker has enriched our life.
Thanks, Wayne

Hi Deadra,
Jeremy and I are having so much fun with our new little man Logan! He came potty trained I swear, he hasn't have one accident yet!
Jeremy and I were at the pond yesterday with him, Jeremy was fishing about 12ft from shore in his waders and little Logan paddled all the way out to him without being called. Such a cutie.
He had his first vet visit today and everything is perfect, thanks for breeding such a great dog. He is so well behaved, soo curious and smart and of course soo cute.
You may be hearing from the Captain of the boat Jeremy works on, we have him hooked on the breed. Hope all is well, thanks so much again.

Hi Deadra,
Hope all is well in OK....Just wanted to show you how "Keeper" is the "star" of our new pet business. You can see him here with my three kids on the website. We absolutely love him and he is a hit at his puppy training class. He sits, does down stay, gives paw, and even rings a bell that I placed on the back door for him when he wants to go outside. You sent us a little genius. He is now about 17 lbs and is so handsome. We took him to a local agility competition to watch and he was so well behaved, other "dog people" loved him and were so impressed. The first reaction from all was "he is not from around here, he is too good looking and has good manners to be from VA" LOL
Again a million thank you's...

Good Morning Deadra,
The quick update is DiO'Gee is bringing joy to every aspect of our lives! He is smart, fun and oh so handsome....(he stops everyone in their tracks when we are at the park). His ability to respond to what we want him to do is uncanny!  He has learned so much in such a short amount of time!
Thanks for our good friend and good dog!

Dear Deadra,
Just a note to let you know how happy we are with our new Aussie. His name is "Keeper" and he is the smartest puppy we have ever met. He is a healthy, active little guy who in the last few days has fit right in here in VA with our family. The kids are having a blast teaching him how to play soccer!
He is using his crate well, walking on a leash, and doing great with housebreaking.  Everyone he has met comments on how "good looking" he is and the first question asked is "where did you get him?"
Thank you so much for  being a responsible and caring  Aussie breeder! We will send photos soon!
Thanks again,

Hi Deadra,
I got the little black bi out of Kool and Anna. She is doing great.  Such a smart little girl. I am starting her in obedience in March and  then we are planning for agility next. I think she will be great at it.
I looked in the kitchen yesterday and she was standing on the table, jumped right up there like it was nothing! She is really a clown and loves to talk to you, like her mom. She is so much fun. She is getting along great with our other two aussies and is a wonderful house dog. She was a little shy at first but has came right out of it with lots of love and attention. It is good to hear from you, take care and we'll stay in touch. I'll let you know how obedience classes turn out.
Thank you for such a wonderful little addition to our family,

You did such a good job sending pictures of her when she was in your care.  Every time  I asked for a new picture you didn't hesitate to send one right out.  I have pictures of her at every age thanks to you!!!

Tuesday, December 26, 2006

Hope you and your family had a good Christmas.

Tess will be 1 year old in February and she is continuing to develop into a fine dog.  She always has a happy face and is still the sweetest dog I've ever owned.  She is so smart.  She loves people and loves to play Frisbee and has become quite good at catching it in the air.  Although we don't use her as a working dog, I can see it in her as she and my other Aussie take turns herding each other around the yard.  She still has a laid back disposition and is always willing to accept commands, whether it's to stay, or come indoors when you call.  She has also become quite a talker and will fuss at you if you're away too long or she wants you to hurry and let her outside to play.

I can't say enough about the good job you've done in breeding dogs with good temperament, disposition and intelligence.  I would highly recommend your dogs to anyone who wants a good, loving dog for their family.

I have attached a couple of pictures so you can see how she's growing.

Thanks for a great dog!

I have known Deadra @ Horse Creek Aussies for several years.  This wonderful breed of dogs brought us to know each other. She is a very easy going, kind person. Her pups have great bloodlines and are very socialized, happy and healthy. I am very pleased and thankful to have a chance to own some of her wonderful dogs. All the pups from Horse Creek, I have been around, are very intelligent and full of Life.  You'll be glad you picked a pup from Deadra.

Deadra,

Just a note to tell you Emma is awesome!  We know it is a tribute to your care in the breeding process.  You have handled the entire transaction very professionally.  I would highly recommend any future owners to purchase one of your puppies.  Emma is very smart, agile, and quite beautiful.

Just wanted to thank you again for our darling Addie!  She is so precious, and we couldn't be happier!  She has already learned several commands, and is just so smart!   She is fitting right in here, and is such a big part of the family.
We took her up to North Georgia this past weekend to a festival.  She had a ball, and that is where we took the pictures of her and our youngest son, Jackson.  I will send you some with her and the older two soon.
I hope all is well with you and your family!  I'll be back in touch soon.
Best Regards,
John and Denise Howe

Thank you so much for the puppy.  He is a wonderful dog.  He gets along great with our son and our other Australian Shepherd.  We were happy to do business with you.

Dear Deadra,

We are excited to say that Kera is doing very well.  Kera is now 9 weeks old and we have almost had her for a week.  We have been amazed how fast she has adapted to her new home.  We have been very surprised at how fast Kera’s ability to learn and how agile she is.  The second day she was here, she discovered our handrail with spindles.  As we sat in amazement, she weaved herself through them.  We hope to setup an agility course in the future for her to play.

Also, Kera’s Vet checkup went very well.  First, everyone loved her sweet personality.  But, most of all, our Veterinarian was very impressed with your worming and health care of your puppies.  He was very happy that Kera’s test result was negative for worms.

During Kera’s week here, she has enjoyed going to the parks, visiting the farm, and playing with her favorite Jolly Ball toy.

Thanks again,

Stephen and Melinda Martin

I love the 2 of them.  They came paper trained and that was unreal.  Never had pups do that.  They have impressed my husband so much that he has done nothing but rave on how good they are.  They have already learned their names and come when I call them.  They are real lovers too.  Dusty (little girl) will crawl into my lap and just cuddle if she has her way.  Dakota follows me around so I have to be careful where I step.  They are great pups.
Thanks,  Vickie

Deadra,
Little Chief did great his entire way home.  Got in about midnight and he adjusted very quickly to his new surroundings.  We are very happy with our decision.  Look forward to sending you some photos as he grows.  Thank you for your time yesterday. If I ever hear of someone looking for a pup…I will definitely refer you to them.
Take care, Carrie Cain

Aussies are a wonderful breed for attentive and active dog owners and the puppy my husband and I adopted into our family from Buffing Australian Shepherds has proved to be no exception. She has been very healthy-sometimes breeders don't deworm their puppies and it can get pretty ugly, but our little girl didn't have any problems. Cayenne is a beautiful dog-she meets all the Aussie standards and her disposition is so wonderful. She is attentive, smart, dying to please, always trying to cuddle, and always ready to play. We introduced her into our home which already included a two-year-old Aussie and they are the best playmates. Neither dog has ever shown any hint of aggression-if another dog wants their toys, well, it's just time to go find something else to do. Cayenne is a sweetheart and we are not disappointed with our decision. Make sure to support good breeders not back-door breeders or puppy farms-Buffing is a good option.

Deadra,
Just wanted to drop you a few lines and let you know we couldn't be happier with our puppy we got from you. "Shelby" has made herself a part of our family. She is a sweet, smart and beautiful dog. We had never had an Australian shepherd before her and now we wouldn't want any other breed! They are extremely quick learners and have beautiful temperaments. Shelby is great with my 7 year old son. He isn't always the easiest kid to be around but she is always glad to see him & loves to play with him. They are not yappy dogs and easy going enough to get along with other dogs, cats & livestock on the farm. I can't wait until she gets old enough to train. I am sure she will be an asset to our cattle handling. Thanks again and I am sure we will be back again for another pup!

Hey Deadra
I wanted to write a short note about Blu....he is a sweet fellow and our family is VERY pleased to have him her at Independence Kennel. He is developing into a very nice show prospect...Good bone, nice head, good ear set..his gait is looking wonderful...But most of all, it is his personality that is the most noticeable...he is a calm fellow that never jumps on the kids and just loves to be with us. He rides in the car right next to who ever is driving...kinda like he is going to tell us how to do it...but in a gentlemen sort of way.

Good job on this guy!!
And thanks so much for letting him come to us!!

Hi,
Becky is doing great. She is such a sweet, lovable pup. She is very intelligent, and is almost leash trained. She is very active and sociable. She has learned not to cry whenever she is in her cage. Like all our Aussies we have had, she is very trainable. She has already attempted to herd our sheep! She is a playful, active puppy with a very sweet disposition. She is so beautiful too!
   Thanks for the wonderful puppy!

Hi Deadra,

SKY is not laid-back at all now---
"She is delightfully busy , with an enchanting sweet disposition , checking everything out with her sharp intelligence and loving life!"

Sky loves everyone she meets and is leash-trained now at 10 weeks. Sky is about 12 lbs now--boy does she love to eat!

I haven't taken her to stores or parks yet, but will soon--she is terrified of loud noises, like cars, lawn mowers, etc. so we are exposing her to vacuum cleaner, other loud noises while from her crate or holding her so she will feel safe--but I bet she sure does have the herding instinct down pat--as we get herded quite a lot so do the cats.

Looking forward to seeing KOOL's pups---my son and wife loved our new baby SKY---they have a black -bi male 11 months old now--"Murphy" and live near  Houston.

I love the dog we got from you.
She loves kids and adults. She isn't aggressive but apprehensive.
I don't think I would own another breed.
On top of everything she is beautiful.
Everyone comments on how pretty she is!

Hi,
Phil bought a puppy from you in April. This is Roo.
He is such a great dog! He has a big (little) brother Rusty a Mini Schnauzer.
They are best friends. They love to chase the cat.
Roo now weighs 24 pounds.  He is getting big!  Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Hello Deadra,
Cayenne is doing fabulous. She is so sweet – she has a lot of energy but she also wants to just cuddle and kiss you.
People stop us on the street all the time and she sits nicely while they love her to death. She is best friends with our blue merle (2 years) and they play together all day (except for when they are napping together).
She doesn’t like to fetch yet – she wants to herd - lay low and wait to spring on the other dog while she’s fetching. It’s so funny.
Best, Wendy

Tess is just a wonderful pup.  She has the best personality and has really captured our hearts.  We are so glad we got her, and couldn't imagine her not being here.
I was waiting until she was 6 months before sending you pictures so you could see what she looks like pretty much grown.  She developed a red sheen at about 4 months but it has gone away except for behind her ears where it is noticeably red.
We have really enjoyed our dogs and have considered getting a blue merle but man them rascals love to play and I'm not sure we could keep 3 of 'em busy!
I'm attaching a couple of pictures and will send more as time goes by.
We visit your web site every few weeks just to look at the new pups.........Ya never know, one day ya might be sending us another one.

Take care,
Randy and Debbie
